The dark shadows of sin and death are cast upon the human race. Cain, angry because God excepted Abel’s animal sacrifice and not his own, he murders his brother Genesis 4:2-10 Cain deserves execution, but is protected Genesis 11-15 Cain’s bloodline produces another murderer, Lamech Genesis 23; but there is hope in another bloodline(that of Seth and his son) who calls “on the name of the Lord” Genesis 25 – 26. It is through this bloodline the genealogy of Adam is recorded Genesis 5: 1 – 32.
